Summer Funventures!

Do y'all still remember me??
I can't believe it's been almost 2 weeks since I posted something on this little blog'o'mine!!
My Summer Vacay has been busy busy and since the mister arrived a bit more than a week ago, it has been super duper insane busy!
I haven't even had time to get my photos off my camera! Which I should really do..

We have been having loads of funventures around Vancouver Island... we spent a weekend at Strathcona Park Loge for KV&JH's GORgeous wedding... cabin 11, which we shared with 9 of my beautiful friends had its own little beach and firepit... the view was stunning and the entire weekend was the most amazing time... there's nothing quite like spending your evenings in front of a campfire!

We have eaten our way around my fave spots in Victoria and took a day to tour Salt Spring Island where we hit 2 wineries, a few local artists studios and ate lots of yummy samples at the farmer's market!

We are now back on the mainland... after a major EPIC FAIL wherein I sent M to Horseshoe Bay to pick us up but we actually arrived at Twsawwassen.... if you look up the distance on google maps you will understand the epicness of my FAIL.... then he sat in traffic for two hours to come get us to take us to the airport so we could pick up our hire car then for us to follow him home, but he dropped us at the airport, then left... and it wasn't until I saw him driving off that I had the brainwave that.. HEY... he's suppose to wait for us!! FAIL FAIL FAIL!!  ANYwhos... we found them eventually!!

After our adventures picking up the hire car and a night spent in Maple Ridge with M&T  we are now up in Whistler...

Well... the mister has just woken up... so I guess I should be getting on with my day! I hope y'all are having a great summer (or winter for those in the southern hemisphere)!

Naked on a Calorific Friday!

So, along with the aforementioned bacon & egg roll this morning... We have also been treated to sweet treats because one of my colleagues is going on holiday for two weeks... (we seriously take/make any excuse to get people to bring/buy cakes/sweet at any opportunity!) birthdays - cakes!, going on holiday - cakes!, just because the bossmans feels like it - CAKES! or one time we had ice lollies... It's no wonder I don't fit any of my old trousers anymore!!!

Anywhos... I was running late this morning and in my rush to get to work on time.. I left ALL my jewellery AT HOME!!! GAHHHHHH!! I had even packed a necklace and some earrings in little ziplock bags ready to go in my toiletries bag.. but I have a feeling I left them on my dresser... along with the rings I always wear and the earrings I'd planned on wearing... the nakedness really stems from not having my rings on... and it's making me not feel very well to know that I won't have them all weekend.. as I'm leaving early from work straight to the train station... gah... am I being a big weirdo??  I think I'm going to go to the charity shop at lunchtime to see if I can at least pick up a necklace and maybe some cheapo rings.. because my hands seriously feel so N.A.K.E.D and just... n.o.t... r.i.g.h.t.

Do you get this?? Do you have jewellery you feel naked without?? At least I have my watch on I suppose...I think I'd really feel out of sorts if I had no watch AND no jewellery!

This is me today.. seriously... I am severely lacking motivation to do anything... I went to bed super late last night and I had "an argument" with my stomach this morning, I wasn't going to come to work but thought I was probably just being a big baby so decided to come in anyways... thankfully my tummy seems ok.. but I am feeling so tired and just blah.. I have loads of stuff to get done but just can't bring myself to do it (hence I'm here instead... *sigh*)

Yesterday was a bit of a disaster evening... I had done so well with charity shopping at lunch time & I was feeling rather proud coz I even remembered to drop off my film to get processed... I was chillaxn at home and at 6.55pm my phone rings... it's a girl at the spa asking if I'm still making my appointment (which started at 6.45pm)... ARGHHHHHH!!! I totally spaced and thought it was next week... apparently not... and because it was a voucher the mister got me, they said the voucher is now void (understandable, most spa's have a 24hr cancellation policty) but I was feeling majorly bummed... I found my voucher and after a quick read, decided to call them back and see if I could just come for the 2nd part of it... - the voucher was for a 30mins choc back experience & a 25min facial... they said if I could get there within 10/15mins I could still have the facial.. so I quickly threw a bra on under my maxi dress & started hoofing it, luckily I saw a cab pretty quick, flagged it down and jumped in.. (there are bonuses to living fairly close to a main road!).. needless to say my facial was less serene and relaxing and more me trying to calm down after rushing around like a banshee... I felt like the technician rushed through it a bit as well (I saw her downstairs afterwards, leaving to go home)... but all in all.. I guess at least it wasn't a total loss... 

The mister had booked a car (more about that in another post!) to come and collect me with the idea that we'd head out somewhere for dinner and enjoy the lovely weather.. I decided I didn't want to go to South Queensferry because that is where we ALWAYS go... and although it's lovely and I enjoy it a lot, it seems redundant going to the same place all the time...  so we embarked on a mini roady to find a new destination... and although we saw lots of quaint and cute little towns and quite a lot of coastal scenery which was very pretty... we came up empty on finding somewhere to eat... EPIC FAIL! 

In the end, we ended up driving all the way back to Edinburgh and getting take out to eat at home...

Oh well... it's a few more places ticked off the list I guess!

Here's hoping your last 24 hours has gone a lot better than mine!! 

At least tomorrow's Friday and it'll be the weekend again soon... 

My phone's going crazy.. so either someone I know's Fb has been hacked

or my Fb has been hacked... happy days... HUMBUG!
