Yeay! Lauren is back this week with some blanks... 

And today's theme is....COLOR!

1.  My favorite color is     aqua/teal   .

2.   My home decor color palette includes    grey, navy, brown and neutrals     .

3.  Other people always tell me I look good in the color     teal.. or compliment me on the fact that I can wear yellow..  .

4. The color I detest is      pink, especially florescent pink.. UGH..  .

5. If you were to look in my closet most of the colors you'd see would be      black & blue with lots of green, red, yellow, purple thrown in .

6. A color that I simply cannot pull off no matter how hard I try is     pink.. I just can't bring myself to wear it..  .

7.  The color of my favorite dress is    maroon   .

Fill in the Blank Friday

It's been forever since I've done one of these and I'm catching up on Lauren's blog today, so thought it would be fun to do a FITB... tho she hasn't posted one for today...

this is actually one she posted in January, but it's travel themed.. and I like travel'y things... so...

1.   My favorite place I've ever traveled to is     probably the hardest question to answer! I've been to so many places and loved them all for different reasons.. I honestly can't pick one.. Japan is amazing for its food and culture and diversity.. the best holiday I've had was in Oman... Petra was absolutely amazing and just blew me away.. I loved my time on Roatan because I learnt to dive there and the pace of life was so slow and simple... I could go on..!!   .

2.    Russia     is somewhere I'd love to go someday.

3.  I pass the time on a plane (or bus, or car ride or train) by     listening to music, reading, playing sudoku, watching movies or SLEEPING!      .

4.  My three must-haves when I travel are     my iPod    ,    snacks   and     a sudoku book   .

5.  My favorite travel companion is    Charlie.. he's a great makeshift pillow..  .

6.  The craziest thing that ever happened to me while traveling is    almost been trod on by an elephant while we were on safari in Kenya.. we'd stopped to watch some elephants drinking but two of them started fighting and one of them starting backing towards us... which woulda been fine... except the jeep wouldn't start.. until about the 5th try and the elephant was literally about 2 steps away from standing on us!  .

7.  The most exotic food I've ever tried while traveling is    iguana on Roatan.. scorpion soup in China.. they said I could eat the scorpion at the bottom of the soup bowl.. I wasn't up for the challenge.. drinking the soup was enough for me!  .

8.  If I could live anywhere else, I'd live in    Spain or Canada...   .

9.  I have been to    13

Happy Black Friday!

Today is apparently the craziest shopping day if you live in the States.. so good luck for those of you out to bag a bargain!! So far I've bagged 35% off + free shipping @Pree Brulee and gotten matching bracelets for my mummy, one of my "surrogate mums" & me!!  I bought us all this bracelet, orange for me and pink for the two mum's. 

1.   Waking up at the break of dawn to go shopping is my idea of     craziness!! I love to shop and I love a good bargain.. but "the break of dawn" and me really do NOT get along...  .

2.   If I were to go shopping today I would be on the hunt for   a tablet or netbook.. so I can stop lugging my 15" beast around when I go travelling... tho, I might see if I can survive the next trip with my brand spanking new smartphone and no laptop... eek!!   .

3.  The best thing I ate yesterday was    turnip cakes! We don't "do" Thanksgiving... so we didn't eat anything special...    .

4. Something I've been learning lately is    that I seriously lack motivation, especially when there is no structure to my life.. I think I've always known this.. but it has been overtly apparent lately... *sigh*   .

5.  I cannot start my day without    checking emails & facebook.. (so much easier now that I don't even have to get out of bed to do it!)  .

6.  My nighttime attire consists of    a singlet and pj bottoms...  .

7.  I am looking forward to    Kim arriving for the weekend, the last F1 race on Sunday & hitting up the Christmas markets!! Mulled wine & yummy treats?? Yes please!!  .

Filling in the blanks... post Marrakesh!!

Well hallo my loverlies!! Have you missed me?? I have been fairly absent from my little corner of the interwebs lately as I seem to still be in vacay mode since my jaunt to Canada over the Summer... probably mostly to do with the fact that because I'm not working, I have no structure to my life, therefore time seems to just fall by the wayside... I need to get back into some form of routine!!

I was also in Marrakesh for a week, enjoying the heat and rain! Getting my fill of tagines and falling in love with pastillas.... Along with surviving the manic of the souk, long nights up drinking in a riad in the medina as well as surviving doing nothing at all but chillax at a resort for three days!! It was definitely a holiday of opposites and extremes and hopefully I will find time to put up some photos and tell you about it soon... but we have some loverlies from Bristol coming to visit for a long weekend.. so no promises that it will be anytime soon!!

Although I DO have a fancy schmancy new phone (it's the Samsung Galaxy S2 if you're wondering) to play with, so if I can figure out how to hook it up with my bloggy here, I might be able to post "on-the-run"!!

Without further ado, let's get fillin' in some blanks!!

1.   When I was a kid I wanted to be      a teacher/ a librarian/ an astronaut/ a dancer    when I grew up.

2.   As an adult, my dream job would be   a travel writer/reviewer...      .

3.  W hen I was younger I wanted to be just like  me! I've never wanted to be "like" anyone else... I still don't... is that weird??   .

4. The childhood Halloween costume that I remember most was when I was    me! haha.. I can't actually remember any Halloween costumes.. I must have had one because I remember going trick-or-treating... but I was never much about dressing up... I'm still not a huge fan of dress up parties... I'm just too lazy.. it's true..   .

5.  My favorite childhood toy was    my electric Mercedes car and my green pedal wagon.. it had a wagon on the back and I used to load it up with stones and drive it from one place to another.. it drove my mother nuts.. hehe... I loved those things... .

6.  The time I got into the biggest amount of trouble when I was a kid was when I     refused to practice piano.. or made a scene while we were out... I got some good spankings for those offences... ohhhh yes I did!!   .

7.  I get daily inspiration from    life, facebook (there seems to be an extrodinate amount of "inspirational stuff" going around at the mo... have you noticed??), the internet  .

Filling in Blanks on a Saturday..

I feel like it's been a while since my last Fill in the Blank...

Now that I'm not working, I don't really have a routine to stick to, so these things tend to fall by the wayside a little...

1.   The most selfless thing I've ever done was      - I don't know! I think I'm a fairly selfish person... as well as a spoilt princess...   

2.   When it comes to working out    my biggest hurdle is motivation... I actually really enjoy the gym, and I always feel great when I'm done.. it's just finding the motivation to get off my toosh and GO... it's a struggle!     

3.  A woman should always   stand her ground without feeling bad/guilty.. so many women feel like they're being "a bad person"/"a bully"/"a bitch" for standing her ground.. I don't get it... (see aforementioned spoilt princess statement)   

4. I wish I could    find more motivation    and then I'd    be so much more productive!   

5.  A best friend is    someone who isn't afraid to laugh at you to your face.. seriously tho.. think about it...  

6.  I can't get enough of     sitting in the sauna after a workout... love it!   

7.  This weekend I am    going to check out a gym open day, watching the Korean F1 and hopefully getting a new phone!!! (The screen on my phone is completely dead.. which kinda renders the phone useless... *sad panda*)  .

Fill in the blank Friday...

Man, how am I so late to the party when I don't even have work to occupy my time!?!

1.   The best thing I did all week was     nothing! I have left the house twice this week.. once to go see the PT and the other time to go to the post office.. to post my broken headphones back yesterday, they emailed to say a replacement has been ordered to be shipped within 24hrs.. so I'm pretty stoked about that! (how lame am I?!)  .

2.    Hilarious conversations on fb with my friends scattered across the world      make me super happy.

3.  Pets are   like children... great when you can give them back!   .

4.    Travel   is the best thing about my life.

5.  With the cooler weather I am looking forward to    hot apple cider or it's more convenient cousin Turkish Apple Tea! And mulled wine!! .

6.  Something that's on my "wish list" right now is     Toms Wrap Boots... in olive green... or red...  .

7.  This weekend I am going to    check out some buildings around Edinburgh that aren't usually open to the public as part of Doors Open Days and also go animal hunting in Jungle City!  .

Would you believe me if I said I have missed filling in blanks while I've been gone??

I have also missed catching up with all my lovely friends in blogLand... on my many long long drives around BC and Alberta, I've often wondered what you all have been up to.. I have caught up on a few blogs, but there's still a few I need to catch up on... it's been wonderful seeing how you've all spent your Summer! Especially today when it's grey and rainy outside, it's like being able to hold onto Summer just that little bit longer!!

Anyways, enough babbling.. let's get to it!!

1.   You should always take time to     enjoy your own company sometimes... I think it's so important to have "me" time...  .

2.    Unexpected kindness from strangers      make(s) the world a happier place to be.

3.  I can hardly wait for   Morocco next month!   .

4.    Saturday    is my favorite day of the week.

5.  Something totally dumb and ridiculous that I love is   peopleofwalmart.com and fml.. they aren't sites that I check often... but when I need a little chuckle or just a WTF? moment, they never fail to get the job done! .

6.  If I could, I would   TELEPORT!!     .

7.  I rather like    ordering groceries online and having them delivered! FTW!!   .

Happy Friday!! I will try my best to get some photos up and share some of the fun things I got up to while I was gone... but I also need to un-jetlag myself... We arrived in Scotland at 5.30am local time, I managed to stay awake ALL day... I thought I would be ok to have a little nap around 7 last night.. but nope.. I napped for an hour, but I was up until 3am and I slept until 4pm today (because that's when the man came to deliver my groceries!).. DOH!!  *sigh* I wonder if I would have jetlag if I could teleport places instead?? hmmmmm
