I can't help but sing the guitar riff, thanks Guitar Hero! *sigh*

Anywhos... we ordered our dinner from here on Monday night because a) our fridge & freezer were fairly empty, b) I just couldn't be bothered trying to invent something from what little we had and c) I hadn't been feeling the best all day so was generally lazy and lethargic...

We've ordered from these guys before.. through the fairly fabulous Just-Eat website.. the first time we were a bit dubious about ordering fish and chips for delivery because usually by the time it arrives it's gone a bit soggy, it's lukewarm and it's just a bit naf... but we thought we'd give it a go... and boy were we surprised!

The food arrived fairly quickly, everything was piping hot, the fish was crunchy and the portions were MA-HOU-SIVE as Ms K says...  We ordered two fish suppers (fish & chips) and an order of mixed starters and had enough food left over for lunch (for me)/a snack (for the mister) the next day... The second time we wised up and got one fish supper, a second portion of fish and an order of spring rolls and we STILL had a tonne of chips left over.. they weren't really the best, but after a quick sauna in the oven.. they garnished the crunch which they lacked upon arrival...

Our freebie, just a simple cheesey number, but appreciated nonetheless!

This last time we ordered, two portions of fish, spring rolls & a portion of potato fritters and once again we were not disappointed.. the order was about 10 mins outside the time they had quoted for delivery, so they threw in a free pizza... and considering the mister and I were thinking of ordering a pizza anyways, we were both pretty impressed!! And if you spend over £5, you get free delivery!! So for a measley £13 we had enough food for dinner over two nights... I only managed about 1/3 of my fish on Monday, then ate half of the 2/3 that were left on Tuesday, along with a couple of fritters and a slice.. then the mister came home and polished off the rest...

So if you live in the UK and haven't discovered the beauty of Just Eat... check it out...
If you live in Edinburgh, and want chippie but can't be bothered leaving the house... order from Barracuda!


Just so you know, they have no idea who I am... I just really like their food & think their "service" is pretty fantastic..
