30 Days of me - Day 30

Day 30 - Your favourite song

This seems like such a strange one to finish on... almost seems too easy.. tho as I type that.. I'm thinking... it's really hard to pick just ONE favourite song...

Usually the first song that comes to mind is

But this is definitely a close second

And these two follow pretty closely behind that

 

They are definitely songs I could listen to over and over and over again... and over the years.. I have.. 

So there you have it!! My complete 30 Days of Me challenge!! It wasn't all smooth sailing and I've had some hiccups on the way.. but I made it.. albeit a few days tardy.. but I'm proud that I stuck with it to the end!

It's a gorgeously sunny day outside today and I feel like I should be outside making the most of it.. but I just cannot find the energy or the enthusiasm... we did a lot of stuff yesterday, flea markets, thrifting, going to Ikea, Sainsbury's, stopping by my work and didn't get home till late, then I made dinner... spaghetti & meatballs a la Ikea!! Made my first ever homemade pasta sauce.. SO EASY!! Never buying pasta sauce again!! (HA!) 

Then we were up early again this morning to watch the F1 race and we were going to go shopping at Primarni, but I'm broke.. so.. :(  tho a guy just called me about going to see a bike he's selling on gumtree, so once the mister gets home I might see if we wants to head out and see it.. and if he wants to loan me some money so I can buy it... :)  But I haven't actually been shopping for bikes so I don't really know how much bikes are etc... and I hate buying things without shopping around first...  bah! I really just cannot be bothered today!! BAH!!

I kinda just want to stay home, maybe do the last fix on my shirt skirt project, catch up on my blogging and hang out in my kitchen... I have ingredients for noodle soup and to make more tangy ribs.. ( I gotta have something to eat with all that cornbread I made yesterday!!)... *sigh*

Do you have days like this?? Where you feel like you just cannot be bothered!!??!!

30 Days of me - Day 29

Day 29 - In this past month, what have you learned

- It is really hard to post everyday!
- It's really hard to make time to post about everything I want to post about!
- I'm terrible at going to bed early!
- I'm hideous with remembering dates..
- I carry around way too much crap in my handbag...
- I really really miss my friends and wish they all lived closer to me...
- Someone needs to invent Teleportation... STAT!!
- My new addiction is online shopping..
- I love shoes
- Charity shopping is SO MUCH FUN!! (I knew this, but kinda forgot)
- I quite enjoy sewing and making things...
- I don't have a trench or any Spring jackets...
- Having a slow cooker is AH-MAZING!!
- It's impossible to find a pot at charity shops! - I want one to melt wax to make candles..
- In the short time I've been blogging, I've made a couple of blogging buddies..
- I care more than I thought I would about stats.. considering I started this more for me and my friends...
- There are some awesome blogs out there which are really inspiring!
- I love that Formula One season is back!! It is one of the very few things I will wake up early for!
- Cornflour is NOT THE SAME as Cornmeal... oops!


For those of you who have missed me in the past couple of days from blogLand.. I came home on Friday night, pottered about, lay down for a nap at 7.30pm... and pretty much passed out until 7am Saturday morning... I woke up briefly when the mister came home.. then briefly about 11pm to turn off the slow cooker... Guess I needed the sleep!!

Saturday started with F1 qualifying, baking of cornbread (after sending the mister out for missing ingredients), then flea market, then cornbread & THE BEST RIBS EVAH! for lunch, then fixing my leggings, then a trip to Ikea, getting sidetracked by Sainsbury's (grocery store), then stopping by my work to pick up some stuff, then making dinner, then eating dinner @ 11pm, then more pottering about.. and before you know it.. there's the day gone!!

Day 27 - Why you are doing this 30 day challenge..

Well, I am still fairly new to this whole blogging thing, so I thought the 30 day challenge would give me some ideas of things I could post about.. help me find the things I enjoy posting about and maybe the things I don't enjoy posting about..

I also thought it was a good way for those who don't know me, to get to know me a little.. and even for those who know me, to get to know me a little more!

It was also something to help me get into the momentum of posting daily.. to find out, if I enjoyed posting daily, or if I would struggle to keep up..

And most of all, because I thought it would be a bit of fun!

I hope you are enjoying reading it, as much as I am enjoying (most of the time) sharing my answers with you all!

Day 26 - What you think about your friends

I think they all live too far away!!!!  Aside from that small hiccup....

I think my friends are super fantastic... They are all and each special to me in their own way... Some have been there for me through the darkest parts of my life and some have been there to share in the happiest moments... the most special and treasured ones are those that have seen me through both...

I am so blessed to have the people I have in my life and I am truly spoilt by my friends... not only for their friendship, but all the time they have invested and care packages they have sent...

I would seriously be lost without them...  and without them, I would not be the person I am today..

They have not only shaped my memories, but also me in the process... I am so inspired by so many of them as well... to travel, to write, to create, to cook, to try new things, to see things differently.. but most of all... to be myself!

I am a lucky monkey lady!!

My phone doesn't actually live IN my bag.. I have a little baggie that I attach to the outside of my bag that my phone lives in.. so I'm not having to rummage thru my bag when it rings~

My iPod and headphones also normally live in there, but I took them out because I knew we would only be going to the track, so just in and out of the car, so no need for ipod..  :)

I carry around a LOT of crap right!?!?!

Thanks for everything you've done for me. The opportunities you have given me.

Thanks for instilling in me, a sense of adventure and the love of travel. A want to see the world and what else is out there and how other people live.

I appreciate all the hard work you've done to give me the best life possible.

Thanks for having faith in me and trusting me to live my own life. It means a lot.

ps. Mum, you were right.. I regret not practicing more and getting good at piano..

I am more than a little bit crazy.. more "crazy fun (funny?)" but probably a little "crazy, needs a straight jacket" as well... (but sshhhhhhhhhhh.. don't tell the men in white coats that ok??)...

I am not afraid to speak my mind.. even if it means offending someone.. (sometimes, especially if it means offending someone! HA!)

I interpretive dance (preferably to 80s power ballads) in the middle of crowded shopping malls!? Shame?? What's that??!!

I don't care about making a complete tit/ass/idiot of myself if it means making someone laugh...

(Big) Mama Caz - I am the head of a hillbillie family... I can be bossy and motherly when need-be... I'm also the person who is not afraid to tell you the one thing you don't want to hear (if you need to hear it)... tho I will also encourage and coddle you...

Doodle - Toth calls me Doodle.. from Cazadoodle...

Bitch, The bitch, Queen bitch, Miss bitch - I can be really mean when I want to be.. but seriously, you try going to an all girl private school for 8 years of your schooling career and see if your bitchiness factor doesn't increase exponentially!

The Beer Wench - A title I earned during high school/uni... :D some might find it derogatory or offensive but I accepted it as a term of endearment.. mostly when it was just me and the guys, I would often be the fetchers of beers from the fridge... this usually meant that I got out of cooking and cleaning duties later on, so I was totally ok with it... - don't feel I was bullied into this.. (refer to nickname above).. I really only do things which turn out favourable for me in the end! :D

Fatty/Stinky - My friend Jo and I refer to each other as fatty/stinker in our emails... I'm not sure when it started, how or why.. but... yea... we're pretty special..

Think that's about it!

There's so few people who call me by my proper name that sometimes I don't even answer to it coz I don't register people are talking to me! HA!

30 Days of me - Day 17

Day 17 - Someone you would want to switch lives with for one day and why

Ummm... I've been thinking quite hard about this one... I think it would be awesome to be a travel presenter.. get paid to travel and stay nice places and eat at nice restaurants.. but that's more of a dream career than someone I want to trade with for one day...

I've been running through celebrities but I don't really know...  maybe it would be interesting to be Lady Gaga for a day... just to dress up all crazy and cause controversy... to live totally "out there" for a day... it would be like playing ultimate dress up for a day!! :D

30 Days of me - Hiatus Day

Ok... so technically my deadline for today's 30 Days of me is in 3 minutes... but my brain is totally fried right now and I can barely string two thoughts together as it is...

It was insanely busy at work today because Ms K is away on holiday and both the bosses are away next week, so everything had to get done today... and there was only ME to do all the admin...  I spent all day transcribing tape after tape after tape of dictation and it totally killed my brain cells...

Luckily Mr G got fudge to help get me thru the day!!

Then we went to see Flawless and I'm just dog tired.. so instead of putting up a half arsed post.. I am going to take a hiatus today and carry on tomorrow... and I posted twice in one day a while ago, so I'm a day ahead anyways.. :) - That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!

The mister took a half day, so came and took me to lunch... yeay!! Then he came and got me from work and we went late night shopping.. then went out for dins coz it was late and I didn't want to cook...

Oh and my LOMO cameras arrived!!!! *over excitement! ladywood!* (did I just post that... oh yes I did... oh dear.. right.. moving right along!)

Day 13 - A letter to someone who has hurt you recently

You know what? I am a lucky little monkey because there hasn't been anyone who has hurt me not just recently but in recent memory..

Ok, so I was a little hurt over the weekend that Mr C didn't bother to get in touch while he was in town, but understandably, he was here to celebrate someone's b'day and we did only spend an entire weekend hanging out when he came to be our first house guest.

This weekend has been filled with EARLY mornings at the tree house.. because we got up to watch the first F1 qualifying & race of the season... Then today we went to our first BBQ of the season! :D
